BUILDING ON A COMMITMENT TO QUALITY AND CARING

American Ambulance entered the New England market through the acquisition of Samaritan Ambulance in 2011 and provides emergent and non-emergent ambulance services throughout the greater Boston area.

In 2012 American was acquired by Falck and became a part of the largest international private ambulance provider in the world. Falck is a 109-year-old Scandinavian based company who is deeply rooted in emergency medical services. Falck provides the experience, depth, and breadth to support and expand our local operations throughout New England.

In 2013, American expanded operations into the Seacoast area of Southern New Hampshire and Southern Maine. This operation quickly secured exclusive agreements with three local hospitals and several local skilled nursing facilities. At the same time American was awarded 911 emergency ambulance contracts with Somersworth, NH and the Maine communities of Kittery, Eliot, and Berwick. Today the NH/ME operation completes over 15,000 transports annually.

2013 also brought the first 911 ambulance contract in Massachusetts with the Town of Saugus. American dedicates two ALS units to this community eight miles north of Boston and competes 2,500 transports annually.

American Ambulance takes great pride in its rapid exponential growth in the New England area. We believe our expert clinicians, experienced managers, and dedication to our partner communities and facilities has led to our unprecedented success.

Proudly, American Ambulance provides Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, Special Care Transport, Chair Car and Patient Shuttle services throughout its New England operations.
